Janet Pakrul created SimpleSweets after an overwhelming response
to a personal and heartfelt gift she created for her parents’
50th wedding anniversary party. Her mother had carried lily
of the valley flowers in her wedding bouquet and that became
the theme for this special event. Janet created candy bar wrappers
featuring those special flowers, her parent’s wedding
picture and a touching message. Her family and their guests
adored the favors, the story they told, and the memory they
helped to create for her parents golden anniversary.
This delightful response coupled with the encouragement of her
husband, daughter and son gave Janet the desire to continue
her creative endeavors. Simple Sweets was born to almost immediate
success.
The Asbury Park Press featured Janet in the November 19, 2003
