"I met Karen Colegary (Mary Kay) at the Bayou Cafe Networking event! Her and I sat at the same table. Karen had called me about getting together for me to try the Mary Kay products. Her approach was – "Come for a day of pampering!" Well, that didn’t take much! I scheduled my day that same week. I got to Karen's beautiful home, and the fun started. She let me apply the products to give myself a glowing facial! I enjoyed the great conversation as well as the Miracle Hand Cream! A must for all women! It made my hands look and feel 5 years younger! The products were very good – the Micro abrasion cream for my face made it feel so soft! I am so pleased the restaurant moved to Freehold, even though it is more than twice the size it hasn't lost one thing with the move, if anything it has improved with the additional seating. I had over 50 banker boxes of old documents and floppy disks associated with my business that needed to be destroyed, so I called Scott Langbein at Data-Guard. We made an appointment and they arrived promptly with a huge truck that is a mobile shredder. This piece of equipment "eats" entire banker boxes worth of documents in one dump. No need to remove staples, or paper clips - everything just goes right in. I didn't have to lift a finger - they did it all for me. Scott took 3 banker boxes of floppy disks back to his office to magnetize and destroy all data on them. Scott provides a great service and I highly recommend it to anyone with documents over 7 years old - get rid of them! Whoosh and they are history! Thanks Scott!"

I hesitate to accept checks these days and I know a lot of people do not have cash laying around. But credit and debit cards are much more convenient for clients. GMS suggested that I accept credit cards to increase sales. I saw that
Meramak is a GMS Racing Sponsor and I called Terrance at Meramak where he went over everything I would need. Every detail was covered, right down to the type of credit card machine. They were very knowledgeable. I was nervous, because I had no clue how much this would cost, but the pricing was right and being a GMS member, discounts were available! I am looking forward to swiping my first charge card! Nice change of pace from my card always being the swipe! So I ask you – WHO WANTS TO BE MY FIRST SWIPE?"

Miracle Method through email a few weeks ago about a bathroom restoration job I needed done. He got back to me the next day and we set up an appointment for him to come out to refurbish the bathtub. He did a beautiful job and we were able to use the tub the next day. David is a pleasant person and was very generous with useful tips which included a couple of cost saving ideas for the rest of the bathroom. We appreciated his easy going manner and the high quality of his work so much that he is scheduled to come back to finish the rest of the bathroom in a couple of weeks. I highly recommend him."

"As a newly married man, my wife and I decided to look into home protection. At the
Brick Armory, they took the time to show us different weaponry, give suggestions as what is good for targeting as well as home protection. They even took the guns apart to show us to clean them, and finally let us on the range to try out some different things to get us comfortable. We have now applied for our permits, and once we get them the Brick armory is where we go to pick up the pistols. Thanks so much!!"

Cartridge Renewal Systems. Within an hour she responded. She told me she did have the supplies I needed and yes she did except credit cards. Monday I put in my order and received confirmation that it would be shipped that afternoon. This morning it arrived! Simple, inexpensive and also environmentally sound--what more could you ask for. I was going to a Career Day at Drake College – to recruit some new Dental Assistants. I wanted to bring something with me to give out to the students. As always, I wait until the last minute to do things! I called a couple advertising places, and Maureen Prima of Kalvell got back to me the fastest! I found the pens that I wanted and Maureen kept me posted about what she had found and getting them to me in time. We had a nice conversation throughout our browsing the pen collection. Maureen thought my name sounded familiar but we couldn't’t make the connection. GMS was having their networking at the Café – so we were excited to meet each other there. She walked in right ahead of me – heard my voice and knew it was me. Small world story – Maureen and I have known each other since the late 80’s! So not only can you make great business relations on GMS – you can come across dear old friends! Oh – and my pens – Arrived in time and the students loved them!"
