Up!
Get involved and
GROW!
On January 11th, GMS had its
best
business card exchange ever and it wasn't just because we had
our
best turnout (over
80 businesses were represented), but
rather
the quality of the networking was at a level I personally had
never
seen. There
was a "Business Buzz" in the room and
many
business relationships were established!
GMS has had
over
1,000 different business owners in our Network at one time or
another in our 10 year existence
as a Network. This
means
that over that 10 year period about 500-600 business have
left for a
variety of reasons. We
actually keep track of the
reasons
for departure as it is important to us as a business to know
why
business owners come
and go. We can count on one-
hand the
number of businesses that have left that we would consider
active
members with
a quality service or product that have
applied
themselves to GMS and it just didn't work for them.
This is
very, very rare.
are members
that
have never used a fellow member and have rarely if ever come
to a
GMS Event. Another 25% of GMS
Members that leave The
Network are businesses that are shutting down. Not
surprisingly, usually these businesses are
inactive also.
Networking although easy, does take some effort and
commitment.
Here is a surprising figure to most...
Over 80%
of the businesses that "shut down" and/or leave GMS do not
have
well
designed websites! Their emails are down or are
unprofessional, i.e. thebobbyman1969@yahoo.com
for a business that
does business coaching is a sure way
to let
others know NOT to use you.
The reason that
this last
business card exchange was so good is because GMS Members who
remain
in The Network and
participate are active, ethical, and
understand networking. The attricion process that
naturally
occurs over time weeds out
business owners who are not
eager to
build relationships and grow through networking. The
result is
powerful.
Members understand
Networking and are serious about business growth. If
you
havent come to an event lately, I strongly
encourage you
to do
so and feel the business "buzz" for yourself!
