| Excellence
and Persistance Prevail Everytime! |
 |
The
GMS Network sure has had its share of challenges this
year. Many businesses have had to re-think their strategies,
adjust their allocation of capitol, and increase the
amount of hours worked just to "tread water"
this year.
We
are no exception to this "re-adjustment" period
and due to the hard work and dedication of our very
small team, we have been able to maintain our level
of service while adding many new quality members at
the same time.
It
has not been easy however. There have been many hickups
along the way and thanks to the dedication of our small
business owners, their pursuit of excellence, and most
of all - hard work ethic, the GMS Network is as strong
as ever.
Thank
You!

| Our
business card exchange in May at The Palms was outstanding.
The food was great, the room had a real buzz about it, and
business relationships were not just established, but "Commitments"
were made right in the room as over $700 in "Doubled"
GMS Rebates were signed. If you haven't had a chance to come
to a GMS Business Card Exchange, you simply have to do your
best to catch the next one. Many thanks to all who did show.

Web Server Upgrades:
Technology
is constantly changing and it is our commitment to bring you
the best service at the lowest cost. Although GMS invests
tens of thousands of dollars into our technology per year,
we still run into issues now and then. Well May brought us
"NOW and Then SOME!"
We
upgrade our server almost semi-annually, usually seamlessly.
However, our latest upgrade included both software and hardware
improvements. The "improvements" were a little hard
to appreciate due to all the email issues. There are many
components to hosting and what we hoped would be a smooth
transition simply wasn't. We think we have most of the "bugs"
resolved, and we do apologize for any inconveniences.

GMS Member ASR Architecture recently launched his site
and said this: |
Dear GMS:
Here's some exciting news- I recently launched my web
site that Marc Gruben worked hard to create. It features
a contact page for viewers to put in their information.
Today I got my first inquiry for design services. The
potential client wants to add a second floor and renovate
the existing first floor of his home. Turns out that
he is so close to me I can ride my bike to his house.
Thanks to the GMS team!

Over
the last couple months, we have raced in
Pennsylvania, New York, and recently took
a trip to Ohio to qualify for Regionals.
Many obstacles had to be overcome just to
arrive on time as the 10 hour drive was
challenging in and of itself.
Marvin
Jr. came in 11th out of 34 riders in moto
1, crashed in moto 2 and finished 17th.
Eighth was needed to qualify, so we came
up short. The good news is that he rides
this same class next year, so we should
fare much better. Keep it up little man! |

GMS
Racing had a real neat experience that demonstrates
the power of the Internet. We had a glove company
contact us from the Middle East (near the border
in India) requesting to sponsor our GMS Racing
Team.
After ironing out the details, we were able to
work out an agreement whereby GMS Racing now has
its own Motocross racing glove products. The quality
is outstanding and both Marvin and Brian Smith
absolutely love them. What amazes me is that this
was all done through the web. Without the website,
none of it would have been possible.
On
the racing front,
one of our more exciting races this year was in
Evansville, PA. There was over 30 riders in the
85cc 9-11 class and Little Marv pulled a 7th overall.
The photo to the left and below are the same 60
foot double jump about 20 feet in the air.
On May 12th, we had a GMS Racing Sponsor Dinner
at GMS Member Bayou
Cafe that was absolutely delicious and lots
of fun. The sponsors shared ideas and tight relationships
got even tighter. We are so fortunate to have
such excellent GMS Members. Thank you!
